Tummy tuck surgery
What is a tummy tuck? A tummy tuck, or abdominoplasty, is a procedure to reshape the abdomen. Firstly excess skin and fat are removed from the lower abdomen including stretch marks or previous surgical scars. Secondly I reshape the abdominal wall by tightening the abdominal muscles to give a much flatter stomach. Lastly the remaining skin is stretched and re-draped over the tummy and closed leaving all scars in the bikini line.
Who would be suitable for a tummy tuck? A tummy tuck, or abdominoplasty, is ideal for women or men who are near to an appropriate weight but have failed to lose the stretched excess skin that resulted from pregnancy or weight gain, and where an overhang may have developed.
Satisfaction ratings are very high following this procedure and a transformation in body image can be seen. It is particularly effective in people who may not have shown their stomach to anybody for years because they have be so embarrassed about their it.
